Detox & Elimination Diet

What is detox?

Our bodies are designed to naturally detox (get rid of) harmful toxins accumulated through the food we eat, the air we breathe, and the water we drink. But in the past century, industrialization has overloaded the environment and our bodies with toxins that we cannot naturally detox. When our bodies, like the environment, cannot naturally detox, these toxins accumulate. The result of too many toxins is illness and disease. To regain and maintain our health, we need to clean up our bodies by releasing toxins that have accumulated deep within our tissues and organs. Detox is a short-term protocol where we strengthen and support our body's natural detoxification processes.

Why detox?

Detox can help you feel better physically, emotionally, and spiritually. After eliminating toxins from your body, you will notice increased energy, clearer skin and complexion, fewer headaches and body pains, reduced stress, improved cognition and memory, better sleep, increased immunity, and an enhanced sense of well-being. The long-term health benefits of detoxing are improved functioning of the liver, lungs, colon, and blood and lymph circulation.

What is the elimination diet?

An elimination diet is a tool for detecting food intolerances and allergies. We can see how specific food intolerances and allergies are causing health issues through an elimination diet. We begin by eliminating certain foods or food groups from your diet and gradually reintroducing them to test your body's reaction. We look for both physical and emotional responses during the reintroduction process. For best results, an elimination diet should be followed for at least 21 days (3 weeks) before reintroducing foods.
